The Tarrazu region is located within the country’s Tarrazu mountains, and beans are typically grown at an altitude of 1200 to 1800 meters above sea level, then harvested between the months of December and February. Costa Rican beans are known to be some of the most flavorful in the South and Central American region and typically possess delicious hints of sweet brown sugar, apricot and citrus.
